Today was an awesome beautiful day, so beautiful that one should not stay indoors, therefore I went for a walk, and actually I went for a speed walk LOL.
I speed walked for 2hrs and 7min, OH YEAH!! I speed walked towards the beach and 48min in to my walk I reached the exercise area at the beach, they have pull up bars, sit up benches, adult monkey bars LOL, well I was going to take a 15sec break but instead I did pull ups, then I went to the declined sit up bench and used it for declined push ups LOL and then I did sit ups, walked to the monkey bars, crossed it once, happy because I could not do it when I started this, trust me I tried LMAO and just kept walking so basically no break there LOL, when the clock hit 1hr and 5min, I did take a 15sec break, then continued all the way home which made it the 2hrs and 7min. By the time I got home my calfs were starting to tell me that it was just about time to quit, and to top it off, my MP3 player was playing Final Countdown from Europe LMAO!!
Took a 2hr break and started the Fit Test and then did weight, measurements and pics, so lets check it all out…

OK this is so AWESOME!!!!
Pull ups: First off I marked 1 pull up on day 1 because the excel sheet would not take 0.5 LOL I could only lift myself enough to count it as half, but I left it there, but today I was able to get on that pull up bar and pump out 11 reps, to bad I did not discover my own tip for pull ups till Phase III, oh well thank God I will be doing another round LOL.
Vertical Leap: It looks like lots of numbers but it just uses the reach and the step jump and from there it gives you the difference, the first time I jumped 10.5” and today I jumped 12.75” high, THANK YOU PLYO! LOL :o)
Push up: Damn, I did 52, that is 37 more than day 1 WOOHOO!!
Toe Touch: I could not reach the my toes LOL there was a gap of 4” between my finger tips and my toes, today without stretch warm ups, I was able to pass my toes by 2.5”, that means that I stretched 6.5” further, thank you Yoga and X Stretch, see it is important to stretch.
Wall Squat: Man I know some people hate these, they hurt, I do too LOL but I stayed till I could no more, 100sec, the first time I did 40sec and I was not at a perfect 90 degree angle LOL.
Bicep Curls: I had resistance bands that were told to be 10lbs, not sure about that, but that’s what I wrote, did 50 reps with 10lbs, so basically the sheet multiplies 50x10 = 500, this time I used my 20s and did 30reps and that adds to 600.
In & Outs: We all hate and love this from Ab Ripper X LOL, first time I did 32 and today I had my mind set on 100 but my leg muscle was in pain, I think it had to do with power walk of today, but that’s ok I managed 95, that’s 63 more.
WOW these results are awesome, and all in just 90 days :o)
Lets check my weight:
Weight:
Digital Scale Only:
Day 1 | Day 84 | Day 90 | This Week | Total
Weight | 207.4 | 176.8 | 172.8 | -4 | -34.6 |
Body Fat % (From "CALCULATORS" sheet) | 33.4% | 21.4% | 21.4% | 0 | -12% |
Lean Body Mass | 138.1 | 139.0 | 135.8 | -3.2 | -2.3 |
Fat Body Mass | 69.3 | 37.8 | 37.0 | -0.8 | -32.3 |
Body Surface Area (BSA) | 20.1 | 18.4 | 18.2 | -0.2 | -1.9 |
Body Mass Index (BMI) | 30.6 | 26.1 | 25.5 | -0.6 | -5.1 |
First thing I will say is, I SURPASSED MY GOAL!!! I weigh 172.8, my goal was 175lbs for this round of P90X I passed it by 2.2lbs WOOHOO
I worked hard this week, mostly cardio, core synergistic and yoga, man oh man that is fat shredding for sure and I managed to lose 4lbs this week WOOHOO!!!
OK so the digital scale seems to be having more issues calculating my body fat LOL it gave me the same thing from last week. Oh well thank God that I have a caliper now and I am not afraid to use it LOL, so lets see that in action…
First the caliper measurements:
SITE | 1 | 2 | 3 | Average | BF |
Chest | 17 | 17 | 17 | 17.0 | 17.75% |
Abdomen | 27 | 28 | 27 | 27.3 | |
Thigh | 13 | 13 | 13 | 13.0 |
OK so again, what I do, is measure myself 3 times with the caliper, using a skin fold from chest, abs and thigh, the program takes the average on and gives me the result, So my result is 17.75% Body Fat, OH YEAH I’m in the healthy zone.
Now lets take a look at this info in the weight chart:
Digital Scale + Body Fat Caliper:
Day 1 | Day 84 | Day 90 | This Week | Total
Weight | 207.4 | 176.8 | 172.8 | -4 | -34.6 |
Body Fat % (From "CALCULATORS" sheet) | 33.4% | 18.8% | 17.8% | -1% | -15.6% |
Lean Body Mass | 138.1 | 143.6 | 142.1 | -1.5 | +4 |
Fat Body Mass | 69.3 | 33.2 | 30.7 | -2.5 | -38.6 |
Body Surface Area (BSA) | 20.1 | 18.4 | 18.2 | -0.2 | -1.9 |
Body Mass Index (BMI) | 30.6 | 26.1 | 25.5 | -0.6 | -5.1 |
OK now it makes sense, if I worked so hard it makes sense that fat would be burnt, and so I lost another 1% of body fat. WOOHOO!!
Total Loses and Gains:
- Lost 34.6lbs TOTAL
- Lost 15.6% Body Fat Total
- Lost 38.6lbs of actual Fat Total
- Gained 4lbs of Muscle Total
That is so AWESOME, and I did not use whey protein and did not follow the diet, just watched what I ate and remembered Michi’s Ladder.

OH MAN those numbers speak for themselves, that is so awesome!!!, look at that the larges place I lost was 7” around my hips, then the next largest was 5.25” on my abs, DAMN that is awesome, wait till you see the picture I took with me and the last pair of pants I bought 4.5 months ago LOL.
OK lets check out some pictures: (Click these to make them larger)
Damn, check out the difference, even my face, and the neck, the love handles have gone down, WOOHOO!!! and if you look closely I am starting to have definition on my abs, so yeah that’s right, I said that I would have a 6 pack on my next round and I intend to have that 6 pack, I fought hard to get where I am and I will fight hard for that 6 pack LOL.
OH YEAH!! Check it out, man that is huge difference!! Damn I am so proud of myself.
LOL and here on day 1 I looked pregnant LMAO! and check out day 90, oh yeah, I am not as embarrassed any more for sure :o)
Looking better, I am starting to have definition on my back now, to bad it took me 2 months to find out what would work for me on those darn pull ups, but hey it will all be resolved on round 2 LOL.
OK now for some stuff to be amazed and to laugh at LMAO
Oh yeah, check it out, those were the last pair of pants I had to buy 4.5 months ago LMAO, man those things are size 40 LOL and they were snug. and now check out that gap LOL
LMAO Look what can do now with these pants, I can fit myself plus my 2 arms in them LOL, AHHH My pants are swallowing me up!! LOL
LOL I am trying hard not to actually stretch the shirt, this is just a light tug, this shirt was purchased like 8 months ago to try an hide my fat but at one point it was filling it in, and look at me in it now LMAO! it is an XL LOL
And now here is my transformation video:
This has been one heck of an awesome and amazing ride, and like I said I will do another round, I will try to start the next round within a week. What will I do during the week off, exercise LOL I will do mostly cardio and power walks, I will continue to eat healthy and lose weight, I may update my blog during that time, so come back, but for sure check back in a week and we will continue our adventure in to P90X and take it to the next level.
Thank you for being with me for all this time:
Mike
